Republika TM New Website Review

Globe’s Touch Mobile recently launched a new website called RepublikaTM.com. Personally I think this is one of the best mobile sites I’ve seen in a while. The loading time isn’t too long, it’s direct-to-the-point, and they have strong images that grab your attention. The copy is also perfect for the target market. I only have a few recommendations to make but over-all I’m impressed.

Strong imagery and plain but attention-catching copy

The use of graphics in this site is superb. The front flash carnival is helpful and it’s also interesting how they stylized Dingdong Dantes to match the color theme. It actually gives a better emphasis on his character and makes you take notice right away. What I like about the home page as well is that the main banners have call to actions which will tell you where you should click (obvious and in-your-face presentation).

Almost consistent across the site

The use of strong imagery and direct copy is almost consistent in all parts of the site. If you check the screenshot I have above, they do a good job of explaining the products that they’re offering. It won’t take a genius to figure everything out. The lay-out of their promos section is also the same. Well done.

What’s a sub?

My only major critique is something they can easily address. The copy of their FAQ is quite verbose and is in technical language. Since their target market here is C, D, & E, I don’t think they’ll understand a “sub”. Also, it would have been better if they made the mechanics for consumer consumption (taglish, etc.) to make it easier to read.

Another note for improvement would probably be the scaling of the site. In my resolution almost 3/4′s of the site is Dingdong Dantes. Can’t see the tabs at the bottom (unless this is intentional in the design).

Anyway, this is a good example of how you can make a stylized site look good even if you want it to be simple. I can’t say the same for the competitor of TM, Smart Talk N’ Text. Their site is just hideous. As in it hurts me eyes to view their content, lol.

    Hi. Hmm ask lang. Bakit ganon ang TM? Laging kinakain load ko. Since nung nag TM ako nung July, hanggang ngayon, pag nagpapaload ako, laging kinakain load ko. Pag tinatawagan naman yung 730-1500, wala naman ako makausap ng matino. Puro tungkol sa Unli, Ringtone, Internet, etc. Siguro umabot na sa 200 o 300 yung nakain sakin. Everytime na magpapaload ako ng 20, wala pang 1minute, wala na kagad yung load ko. Tapos magpapaload na naman ako. Dun lang ako makakapag unli. Haaaay! Sana naman po masolusyonan toh. Nasasayang yung pera ko kakaload. Pati yung mga kaibigan kong TM din, nakakaranas ng ganito sa TM. Sana magawan kagad ng paraan. Thanks.

        oo nga nakakainis, ung points ko di ko maredeem kahit ipasa di pede. kakausapin ko sana operator kaso wala naman. gara. sayang lang.

        try calling 808, press 2 for english instructions, press 6 (report signal), press 1 for Luzon subscriber, press 3, then wait for the prompt, press 0 for customer service rep.

      nagawan mo naba ng paraan ung prob mo?ako kasi after 2 yrs na TM ang gamit ko now lang ako kinakainan ng load.ok nb sayo?paano gnawa mo?thanks!

      pareho tyo ng problema tol.. to tm: panu i close lahat ng apps na pinapadala nyo.para matigil na pangangain nyo ng load!!!

      If TM is getting your load illegally, then why not stop using TM. My daughter has experienced that twice too. I thought TM is honest enough not to do it.

      UNLICOMBO Send mo sa 2824 Unlicall and text to TM and GLOBE, ung text 24 hours, ung call naman from 10:00PM until 5:00PM. MEAN 5 to 10 PM di ka makakatawag.

      U Can also try ASTIGCOMBO20 send it to 8888, unlimited text for 24 hours and 100 minutes na call anytime.

      THAT’s what I’m using kaya yan lang masuggest ko sayo.

        TM was providing customer service feedback before where you can really express your complaint to a customer service representative but not anymore this time. This is a bad sign.

    I have a problem now regarding my sim…may signal sya pero di mkapagtxt o call tapos yung lumalabas sa screen eh limited service and im experiencing dis for two days na till now…anu po ibig sabihin nun,,,??sira n po pa ang sim ko??????????is there any way na maayos pa to???pls help po….thnks…

    what happened to my tm sim? di nakakasend ng text and di nakaka call? but i can receive text and receive calls.. and bakit ala na makausap na operator sa 808? takot na bang sumagot sa mga queries?

    hey. anu ba yang tm na yan lagi nlang ako nbabawsan ng load wla nba solusyon yan lagi nlang ba gnun? ndi porket mura lng ung load nyo eh bnabwsan nyo na ko ng load. aba mhlaga ang pera kesa sa kakaload kng ayaw nyo magreklamo ako o ang iba pang customer nyo magreply kyo at mkpagusap sa mga tao na nangangailngan ng help nyo! san kmi pued pmunta na site o ung mtatawgan nmin na may mkakausap kmi na customer service..!

    I’m Using TM for 7 years na po, and there’s no problem naman with my sim. Cguro sa nawawalan ng load maybe nagsuscribe kau sa any 4 digit number like 2864, , i tried that kasi, naresolve naman after i stopped all those unnecessary subscriptions. Un lang complain ko eh napakahirap po magregister sa promos ninyo like unlicombo and astigcombo20. un lang naman po ang ginagamit ko palagi. Please po iimprove nyo po ung services nyo with unlimited call and text.

    Got my TM sim card na for almost 6 years, tapos this past 4 months or more nakalimutan ko na palgyan ng load kasi nagkaron ako ng line…Tapos this afternoon sa screen lumlabas “SIM INACTIVE” pede pa kaya ma reactivate yun?

    Anyone could help me sa problem ko?

    nakakainis palagi kinakain load ko wla pang 1minute eh ubos na,never ako ngsubscribe s mga promo ng TM. Everytime nagsusubscribe ako sa mga unlicombo,ang reply sakin ay hindi nprocess pero upon checking my load,nakain sya. dapat hindi ganto ang strategy ng TM para kumita.

    my phone is cherry mobile Q20…nag txt ako ng GO for mobile internet but ang ni rereply is sorry your phone is not compatible to receive this settings…wala naman akong makausap sa 808 nyo…may internet naman ang phone ko…paano ko makukuha ang settings….

    i tried to verify the allegation that the tm service provider consumes the load even without any service being provided. indeed it is true. in a matter of hours (from late morning till middle of this afternoon of this same day) my load from 303.50 pesos was reduced to 298.50 pesos.small amount? yes. but imagine extrapolating it to million of tm subscribers then it must amount to million if not billion of pesos from million or billions of users.

    dti, please help or is that pntc, this is robbery in broad daylight no less. please investigate.i thought this was solved by the investigation of senator enrile.

    panu ba titigil ung mga dumadating na app. sa tm ubos load ko na wala ako ginagawa ayusin nyo naman ang network nyo para kaming ninanakawan ng wala kaming magawa walng maka usap sa hot line nyo anu ba yan ayusin nyo yan kung ayaw nyo pang maisumbong ke sen. enrile

    D maganda service nyo.. The signal is rubbish.. Daming problema.. Then nagtry ako sa hotline to report something , ala kang mkausap kundi voice prompt.. And ur telling ur subscribers na astig kayo ?! U must be dreaming guys!!

    Bakit po di maayos yung cellsite dito sa may Taguig. Malapit po sa C6. Tipas po. 1 month na po di makapagsend at receive ng maayos. Pag may emergenycy po, di makaupdate agad, kasi naglalate receive. Magawan po sana ng solusyon yung problema namin. Salamat po.

    uhmm hello po . sorry po sa abala pero gusto ko din mag file ng complaint. sensya na po kaso nakakaasar na po kasi eh. ang lakas mangain ng load ang network nyo. kakapaload ko palan tapos ilang minutes lang bglang mawawala. napaka inconvinient po kasi. student po ako, marami ako ginagawa tsaka maraming incidents na kailangan may load talaga ko for communication. kaso hirap na hirap ako kasi laging kinakain. kung magpaload pa naman ako laging P50, P30 or P25. bglang mawawala ng dko man lang napapakinabangan kahit isang text!!! aksaya ng pera eh.. tsk, pinili ko pa naman TM tlga kasi mura lang ang UNLI, kaso kung kain ng kain naman ng load edi mas mabuti na lumipat na ng network. marami ding times na di dumarating ang load ko. pag binabalikan ko naman ung store ssbhin nila na nareceive na nila ung text na nagconfirm na sent na ung load. Ung free calls naman di umaabot ng 5minutes, cut agad. wala naman akong niregister na apps or ringdial. bakit kain ng kain ng load?!?!

    please lang tlga pkiayos to. kasi nauubos pera ko sa load tapos dko nmn mapapakinabangan!!! kung pwde rin sana na maibalik kht half lng nung nwla na load nmin. kasi ang corrupt na ng dating ng TM ..

    Iv’e been trying to connect to the internet. i tried the unli fb 10 ! it has a 3g icon on the top but the network is unavailable so i unsubscribe and registered to the social20 with an extra load of 1 pesos. And im still receiving the same error im using an android phone, i tried to send the go to 2951 but still nothing happens i just receive the configuration setting but thats all, still cannot connect. WTF! i tried to call the customer service hotline but it goes directly to a ugly voice girl repeating the same message all over again. Can you guys can’t afford a live advisor to work for you as a customer service representative? Mygod! your services are cheap. But So do you Guys!

    pwede po ba mag ask bakit po yung nag pa load po ako nang 15 pesos sa TM , wla po ako na receive? sbe po nila sinend na po nila dinouble check ko po yung number nilagay ko po non pero wala po talaga ako ma receive then i try to my school mag pa load nanaman nang 15 and na send nya po nya this time i double check it 10 times tapos mga ilang hours na po ndi ko pa ren po na rereceive ang akin load, paano po ba solusyonan ito? please help this is my contact #09058616879
